< James' Kitchen > by SPD4459 City Diner at YTM


We started our dinner with this mushroom cream soup with black truffle. I love this soup very much!!!(actually I'm a mushroom lover:P) It was very rich and intensely earthy flavour, the texture was smooth and thick as mud. The size was very big that I'm nearly full already. Can you recognize anything special in the soup? There is a black truffle heart in the middle!!! (the chef is cute!) Alright to be serious, the black truffle did enhance depth of this soup. GOOD JOB!!  

黑松露野菌湯真係非常好飲! 口感好好, 滿滿都是野菌蓉, 真材實料啊! 食落口啖啖肉, 而且廚師落黑松露亦好重手, 令碗湯啖啖都好香!仲有仲有個開心大發現TIM! 廚師送左個心俾我, 哈哈哈哈哈哈(活係自己世界中心女,申利)

For entree, we ordered creamy king prawn spinach fettuccine and wild mushroom risotto. The risotto was average, it's notable that the chef has cooked in traditional Italian way which some of my friends didn't like it as it's a bit hard when compare with usual rice the Chinese were eating. However, I love this texture which i found it's chewy and creamy. Even though this dish was served averagely, it cant's surprise me. And the spinach fettuccine really was a disaster!! The king prawn was mushy. I know I shouldn't expect fresh prawn given the price they charge, but I really didn't expect mushy prawn either. The Fettuccine was also sticky and insipid that I really couldn't finish it. Horrible!!


好嘅開始令我開始期待呢餐飯. 主菜我地揀左虎蝦菠菜忌廉闊條麵同野菌意大利飯. 個飯好普通, 無咩大問題, 但亦無驚喜. 廚師用傳統意式煮法, 令個飯有咬口, 而且好creamy, 但呢種口感唔係所以Chinese都接觸, 因為比我地平時食過嘅"靚仔"口感似生米, 但我個人係幾喜愛嘅:) 原來好戲在後頭, 個闊條麵簡直係災難!! 真心難食! 個汁淡而無味, 得D只會食到個人好濟好濟嘅cream, 仲有, 隻虎蝦係梅嫁! 雖然百零蚊一碟意粉唔應該要求俾新鮮生掹靚蝦, 但都未至於梅者, 係唔係先=.=

We picked molten chocolate cake and strawberry tart served chocolate puff as our dessert. It was appreciated  they had written my name correctly and the chocolate cake was well decorated. However, very honestly, the taste of both them were BAD! First, the molten core was solidified due to over baking. We were more like eating a chocolate cake!  And the tart was frozen! I didn't try any fruit tart like this before, what is the purpose of freezing the tart? I just can't understand.

真係一山還有一山高! 甜品都係災難性! 但人就係好奇怪, 對有關自己事嘅野, 普遍都係有好感D. 個心太軟有我個名, 即刻覺得又靚又好食! 但我真係第一次食實心嘅心太軟....無錯, 係實心嘅! 好明顯係焗太耐. 但因為個味都唔差, 所以我同朋友都係有食晒去嘅. 除左實心心太軟, 仲有冰雪果撻. 個撻入雪到變左冰撻...第一時間諗:下! 個撻放左幾耐嫁....=.=

Last common of this restaurant, impressing beginning with dull ending. SAD!
一句講晒, 虎頭蛇尾, 完!
